01 · How a season plays
The calendar moves in stops. At each stop the game settles what happened, writes the news to your inbox and waits for your decisions. Six steps make a season.

Each season opens with board objectives: a target position, and what exceeding, meeting or missing it would mean.
Board inbox
Contracts ending, wages over budget and job offers arrive as decisions, not as a menu of options.
Inbox
Put an offer to a driver. The agent weighs the whole package and answers: accept, refuse, or counter.
Contracts
Research car parts, upgrade facilities and hire technical staff. Rival teams spend their budgets too.
Garage
Qualifying runs the day before each round. The race then plays out on its own circuit, lap by lap.
Race replay
Final positions move reputation, set next season’s budget and bring in a new class of rookies.

02 · Contracts and negotiation
A driver judges the whole package, not just the salary: base pay, a fee for every race entered, and a bonus for each podium and each win. The agent's assessment tells you where your offer stands.

The agent places your offer on one of four bands. Nothing shows a hidden percentage, so you judge the offer as the driver would.
A driver can accept, refuse or counter with new terms. Each counter makes the driver less patient, so you cannot grind a bargain out of them by offering again and again.
Drivers form a view of teams they have been to and of their rivals. Devotion can lower the ask, and real dislike raises it, in plain words on the screen. Every contract also carries a release clause of six times salary.
03 · Car development and facilities
Every car has four ratings: power, aero, chassis and reliability. The car rating is their weighted mean, so the parts you research are the parts that count. Research programmes run for a fixed number of days, two at a time.

Each level above 1 cuts 6% off aero and chassis programmes. Research lands sooner.
Each level above 1 adds 6% to the gain from power and reliability programmes.
Each level above 1 cuts 4% from the cost and the days of every programme.
A technical director lifts every programme. Aero, powertrain and chassis chiefs lift their own part.

04 · The race replay and engine
The race is not simulated and then replayed. The engine places every car on the circuit by its distance along the lap, its line across the road and its speed, and the race is decided as you watch it.
Corners are stretches tighter than 250 m in radius. DRS zones are the two longest straights.
A faster car picks a side, brakes later and completes the pass. Slipstream and dirty air change the pace.
Ten pit boxes on the start straight, pit stops, safety car periods and retirements all happen on the road.
Play, 4x, or skip to the flag. A race you skip runs the same engine, so the result is the same race.

05 · The circuits
Street circuits, parkland raceways, motor parks and speedways. Each outline is the game’s own data, with its own lap, road width and corners. The orange tick marks the start and finish line on every circuit.
Plate 06 · Podium ladder
06 · The three-tier ladder
Prima is the pinnacle, with the biggest budgets and the most attention. Tertia is the entry level. Every tier uses one points table, from 25 for a win down to 1 for tenth.

Pinnacle
The top flight: eleven teams, the biggest budgets and the most attention in the series. Rules change every few seasons and every team chases the same unknowns.

Proving ground
The second tier: teams race for promotion and the money that comes with it, with a sprint and a feature race every weekend.

Entry tier
The entry tier: identical cars, a tight budget cap and young drivers learning the job in public. Win here and the doors to Secunda open.

To confirm moves between tiers are not in this build yet
07 · Drivers and rivals
Every driver has traits, a team they grew up backing and teams they resent. Each team has fixed rivals, and a driver who is bitter toward a rival is warier of you. The number never shows. You read the feeling in plain words.

Rivalries are fixed in the team data and are mutual. Brackley Silver's rivals are Carolina Racing, Scatto Motori and Salzburg Racing, and each of those teams lists Brackley Silver back.

08 · The inbox
After each step of the calendar, the news is written to your inbox. Action messages stay open until the situation changes, and they resolve themselves once you deal with them.

Renew a driver, balance the budget or decline an offer, and the matching message resolves at once. Nothing waits for the next stop.

Join the waitlist and we will tell you when the beta starts, when pre-registration opens and when Podium launches. Nothing else.
